We currently have an opportunity for a Bookkeeper at Seminary Towers, a 545-unit apartment community located in Alexandria, VA.

 

 Do you love numbers AND customer service?  This Bookkeeper position could be right for you!  This position is responsible for the financial administration of the property but it will also give you the opportunity to demonstrate your customer service skills as you interact with our residents and prospects.

Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeper, you will:

 

  • Handle all bookkeeping operations and analysis, maintaining effective internal controls  
  • Collect, post and deposit rental revenue, keeping accurate records of income and expenses
  • Handle delinquencies, late notices, and evictions
  • Address resident complaints as they relate to rental payments and collection, identifying proper protocol to resolve issues
  • Provide a professional, positive service for residents
  • Assist with outreach to renewals to maintain occupancy goal
  • Analyze reports and make recommendations accordingly

Qualifications

  • Previous bookkeeping and/or accounting experience is required
  • Previous knowledge of MRI property management software is preferred
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Must be organized and able to meet assigned deadlines
  • Superior detail orientation with ability to accurately complete required paperwork
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
